Tours and activities in Ararauna Tours and ExpeditionsThe activities are done and/or performed in the jungle in wild and remote areas, therefore, there are certain risks as in any other type of similar or related activities. Therefore, we urge you to follow the recommendations of your guide who has the necessary experience and training to recommend what is best to minimize the risks, please do not pressure your guide to perform certain activities that could increase the risks of the same affecting the tranquility and safety of the group.
It is very essential that you understand that some activities carry risks, for example, hiking on a rainy day would not be a good idea.
Because the tours and activities take place in the jungle in wild and remote areas, transportation is very expensive, and sometimes very difficult to access, in order to reduce operating costs and make the programs more economical and accessible to the client, tours and activities are operated in groups.
Ararauna Tours and Expeditions; For your comfort and for a better enjoyment of your experience in the jungle, the groups do not exceed the amount of 08 people per guide. 90% of our groups do not reach this limit.
Also, some tours and activities due to the nature of the Lodge’s location have limited access to cellular and/or internet connection, or there may be no communication at all.
Ararauna Tours and Expeditions does not perform or sell adventure tours such as: Zip-lining, Kayaking, hanging bridges or other similar due to the level of risk and safety that these activities demand and the lack of regulations by the government. We recommend taking the appropriate travel insurance, make sure that the insurance purchased and / or policy covers the activities you plan to do.
The tours purchased by the client do not cover injuries or extra expenses resulting from the consumption of certain medications that the client may be taking or as a result of the excessive consumption of alcohol or certain drugs, being entirely the responsibility of the client.

All programs offered are based on starting mid-morning or mid-day as the case may be and ending after breakfast on the last day of the program purchased, usually departing at 7:30 am from the Lodge. Therefore, the customer understands that the programs 4 days / 3 nights, 3 days / 2 nights, 2 days / 1 night and/or similars DO NOT HAVE A LITERAL MEANINGThe name of each program is only one name for each program, for a better understanding, this is due to a CHECK IN Y CHECK OUT of the rooms. For the sake of clarity and safety, the client understands that the name of the programs LITERALLY DOES NOT MEAN FULL DAYS FROM THE FIRST DAY IN THE MORNING TO THE LAST DAY IN THE AFTERNOON..
Due to the commitment that Ararauna Tours and Expeditions We will do our best to personalize the tour to give you the best possible experience, from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave. But it is restricted to our availability and will depend on whether the group has the same time and/or departure flight. We work continuously to make your stay as pleasant as possible, the guide in charge will keep you informed in advance of any eventuality.
All tours start in Puerto Maldonado with pick up from the airport, bus station, hotel or the place you indicate and when the other members of the group are all together. Considering also the different arrival times in the case of flights. Normally we wait until everyone has arrived, taking into account that the waiting time from one flight to another is not too long.
Itineraries and times are based on flight arrival and departure times without affecting the normal development of the tour and its activities. Also, we recommend you to take the first flight on arrival and a later flight for your departure (2:00 pm), taking into account that this is only a recommendation since the choice of flights will be the one that best suits you and is most comfortable for you. In case you choose a much later flight you can wait in the office or take a walk around the city until you are transferred to the airport.
In case you arrive by bus, a representative will be waiting for you at the bus station, the client understands that the tour starts mid-morning or mid-day when the other clients arrive by flight. In the same way, if on the last day you have a bus in the evening, the departure from the Lodge will be the same as mentioned above (after breakfast). The client can wait in the office or go for a walk around the city until the time of transfer to the bus station.
Considering the remoteness of the lodge and the high cost of transportation we only have one departure time per day, the client should consider that getting from the lodge to the city takes between 2 and 2 ½ hours, arriving in the city at approximately 10:00 am.
In case the client for any reason wants to leave and/or abandon the tour, program or the lodge without having finished his/her stay, he/she understands that there is NO REFUNDS OR REFUNDS, therefore, being out of itinerary and there is no transportation, the cost of the same will be assumed by the client.
The client, understands that the service is subject to variations due to weather conditions (heavy rains, floods, river overflows, etc.), strikes and/or demonstrations, flight delays and/or cancellations and any other type of event that prevents the normal development of the service in its entirety.
In this sense, Ararauna Tours and Expeditions, try, as far as possible, to comply with the activities included in the itinerary.
